This exciting region in the far south of Spain’s Catalonia has been making massive strides in recent years in terms of quality as well as defining their own style.
While they’ve focused the wealth of their attention on the grape White Grenache, other classics from the region such as Grenache, Carignan, and the French import, Syrah have done very well in this Continental/Mediterranean climate. Also, while small in terms of overall kilograms produced, the Morenillo grape, which is native to the region, shown great promise both in terms of blends as well as varietal wines.
